The President
I would like to welcome all brothers and sisters of the American Postal Workers Union to this our humble site! If you're wondering where in the world is Mojave - well, it's in the Mojave desert, south central California. Our local covers an area from Rosamond - gateway to Edwards AFB, which among other things is an alternate landing site for the Space Shuttle, to Tehachapi - city of four seasons. We also extend north to where the ski junkies hang out - places like Mammoth Lakes, June Lake, Bishop, Big Pine, and Lone Pine. We may be small in membership, at last count we had 112 members! But, our local probably covers the greatest geographical area of just about anyone!
I'm a firm believer in solidarity! This is what makes our union great. I also believe that we need to pass along our heritage to our children. They need to know the history of the labor movement and the good it has brought to this country. So take a few moments and check out our site and remember - without YOU the American Postal Workers Union wouldn't be what it is!
Yours in solidarity
Gaare Davis
